Evinrude recommend a major service every 3 years or 300 hours whichever comes first. A annual inspection service recommended by Muhling Marine pre-boating season to ensure your boat, motor and trailer are ready for Summer.

Older pre 1980 motors generally run on 50:1 Fuel:Oil ratio (50 parts fuel to 1 part oil). VRO equipped Evinrude/Johnson engines motors mix the fuel automatically.

Recommend using smaller round flushers to flush whole system from water pump in lower leg thru to power-head, Screw in hose silent flusher flushes out power-head but does not flush out impeller as not rotating.
